Details of the Event on Aggressions to Physicians with Mutual Médica

From the agency V3rtice we accompanied Dr. Alejandro Andreu Lope to the event held by CGCOM at the General Council of Medical Associations to discuss the attacks on the medical profession and what actions his foundation is taking to combat them.

On the occasion of the European Day Against Assaults on Doctors and Healthcare Professionals, which is celebrated on March 12, an event was held on March 9 at the General Council of Doctors (CGCOM) to present the alarming figures of violence against healthcare personnel. From V3rtice we were in charge of communicating the event and the participation of Dr. Alejandro Andreu, president of the Mutual Médica Foundation.

The multidisciplinary team of the communication and PR department accompanied Dr. Alejandro Andreu at all times during the event, seeking interviews in the media that attended to cover the event and sending a press release that generated several interviews in other media that were interested in the subject. The main objective was to give visibility and brand recognition to Mutual Médica and its strategies to fight against aggression towards the medical profession. Thus, at the conference ‘Aggressions against healthcare personnel’, Dr. Andreu explained that Mutual Médica has a strategy against aggressions based “on two pillars, prevention and protection. In terms of prevention, the Mutual Médica Foundation, together with the WTO and the National Police, started in 2021 the online course on the prevention of assaults on healthcare professionals, which this year 2023 begins its third edition.” For protection, the foundation offers free insurance that “fully covers both physical and psychological aggressions, when these result in sick leave,” explained Dr. Andreu.

The communication of the event by V3rtice was a great success in the main media where our press release and Dr. Andreu’s interview were published.
