Today we are going to talk about a topic that has generated a lot of debate in the digital marketing sector: can we really detect fake followers? And, more importantly, is it good to buy followers on social networks? 

The importance of having real followers

We all know how important it is to have a real base of followers on social networks. They provide support and interaction with our content and we can create a good community with them.

But is it really good to buy fake followers to increase our number of followers?

Many times we give more importance to superficial metrics and the total number of followers in our accounts. While these numbers can be tempting, they don’t always reflect reality, as these numbers may not be real and may be full of fake followers or bots.

And many of you may be wondering… What are fake followers? Fake followers are automated accounts or real people hired to follow accounts without a real interest in the content and any interaction on it, both in likes, comments, and views. They can be used to artificially inflate the number of followers and give a misleading impression of popularity. Instead of looking for fake followers, we should focus on the quality of our audience. It is better to have a smaller number of real and engaged followers than a large number of fake followers, who are not interested in our content and will not provide us with interest or engagement. Real followers are interested in our content, interact and contribute to the growth and success of our brand.
